Reliving a memory through a photograph is like a lucid dream. A moment in reality that has  already gone to sleep becomes aware that it is dreaming. Something that would otherwise have been left behind in the void of the past is once again awakened, as though it is happening in real time. The only difference now is that, rather than dancing in your own body, you are watching yourself dance from afar and it’s like the music is playing in the other room.

 

I’m here to remind you that it wasn’t all just a dream.
